"We spent the holidays here with 2 teens obsessed with fishing. The dock was perfect. The open nature of the house was great -the listing is very accurate. Our weather was not great but what a lightening show across the lake! We cooked at home several nights. NOLA was close enough to go in for a game or to explore. We really liked the location and would stay in this area again. "

"The house was perfect. I loved and enjoyed the outdoor amenities. The porches and downstairs were wonderful. I enjoyed the upstairs porch which is right off the main living area. It was very quiet and peaceful area. I had my dog and we went on lots of walks around the neighborhood. Very good area to rent an and escape for couple days. They owners were very helpful and kind. "Great location. Essentials are available in Slidell, but you can easily access New Orleans. House was perfect for a crowd of over 20 people. There was great crabbing off the pier. "

"While the property was beautiful and quiet, it was not all as it appeared on the listing. The outdoor kitchen area was very rundown and weathered. There were utensils that were dirty and corroded, the Keurig was not functional, and one of the railings on the back porch was rotted and unsafe. Other that that, the Property was very beautiful and cozy. The beds were comfortable and there was many amenities. We did enjoy our stay.property "

"This was an absolutely nice relaxing place. The owner had fishing rods and nice outside bar. It was spotless and the owner was very helpful. You can ride to the city and come back to quiet and calm by the water"

"This home was perfect for our new year vacation. It is easy to do all the New Orleans city stuff and then retreat to the peaceful water side home. Owner was very helpful when we had trouble turning on the outdoor lights. He even offered suggestions for places to get dinner. We hope to return when the weather is warmer for fishing and water fun. "This was a beautiful property. Everything was extremely clean and the home was stocked well with things one might need. There were fishing rods and even bait which my teens enjoyed using from the end of the dock. After busy days, exploring New Orleans and walking the city it was wonderful to come back to a quiet place and sit on the dock or even the porch. It is truly a getaway but because of that, it is drive to get just about anywhere. Great stay and fantastic communication. "
