"Location was SUPERB. The only problem we had was that the blanket on the bed had a lot of different hairs on it (not ours). I think the kind of blanket attracts hair, but it was a little icky. We had bunk beds in our room, so we ended up just trading blankets. But other than that, the location was great and Mary was so sweet. Overall, good experience!"

"The Discovery Lodge is located right by a 9-hole golf course, and apparently the elk love it. We were able to see these beautiful animals without ever leaving the property, which was a highlight of our stay. It’s an easy location from which to get to downtown and to the Rocky Mountains. "The lodge was perhaps an older facility, but the interior (at least of our room) had recently been remodeled, which was very well done. The area was quiet, in a convenient location with just a short drive to town center. The staff was very friendly & focused on ensuring a pleasant stay. We would definitely stay there again."

"We were hiking a section of the CDT and came off early. We asked to drop our backpacks off before hiking 6 miles to retrieve our car at a trailhead. We were told we couldn't leave them because of liability issues. Finally talked them into being able to leave them outside the cabin we would have for the night. Have never had the experience of not being able to store bags for a couple hours at a lodge or hotel."

"I really liked the cabin feel of the room, and it was nice to have the option to sit outside. The first night was fairly warm, but the window open with the ceiling fan on worked really well. "For the cost, the cabin was horrible. Extremely small. The bathroom was smaller than an inside cabin bathroom on a cruise ship. No decor in cabin. No where to store clothes. No dresser and 3 hangers. No service for clean towels, more coffee etc. I would NEVER stay here again. There are so many places, choose somewhere else."
