"This property was very peaceful and had beautiful views. The decor was lovely however, unfortunately there were a few things still waiting to be fixed at the property which let it down. There is no number on the letterbox and we arrived late at night and had a lot of trouble finding it. I had to dust down cobwebs from ceilings above beds and clean mugs before we could use them. "When checking in, we had planned to drop off our bags and head out, but when we saw the view from the deck, we ended up spending the late afternoon and evening sitting there. The hills rolled out before us, leading to the ocean, with mountains on one side and islands on the other. "Lovely cottage with comfortable bed. Good kitchen facilities and host provided tea coffee milk and cookies for us on arrival. Nice warm facilty with good shower. Good directions and instructions found it in the dark. Great bird life all around and close to Tutukaka for diving trip"

"The parking lot is very spacious and the garbage is comfortable. Also, there was a Ruakaka stream in front of the garden, so it was good as a healing point. If there is a heat pump, it will be a recommended accommodation for four seasons that I really want to visit even in hot summer and cold winter."

"Excellent living area and location"

"Lovely bach, excellent location. Would love to make a suggestion to have some pedestal fans available to use at night for sleeping, it’s such a nice warm bach but unbearable for sleep…….we wished we’d brought our own fans. Also Bachcare sent us the wrong lockbox code but we’re lucky they answered the phone with the first call and rectified the problem. Thankyou to the owners for renting out their home so people like us can have a summer holiday at the best location!!"

"Kathryn and Kev are absolutely delightful people, so accommodating. I needed to make change to our booking and they were able to do this without any problem. The house is absolutely beautiful and in a lovely location. The only thing I would change is the eco toilet due to the wind. The house is so well equipped everything you could need is readily available. Thank you for your hospitality we loved our stay in Whangarei "
