"This is great place to stay if you have an early or late flight in or out of Papaeete. We had a party of 3 and the room was great- two rooms separated by a partial wall for privacy as well as two toilets, lots of sink room and 2 showers! Also a mini frig. The air conditioner was in one of the rooms. No restaurant at the hotel. We walked down to a Chinese restaurant but it was tricky figuring out how to get there with some big roads to cross. So get some food in town or at the airport before you come. They do have breakfast which we didn’t try and a frig with some cup o noodles and ice cream. "

"Great property. Really cool pier with access to deep water. They have lots of kayaks and snorkeling gear. Water is dark and not as clear on this part of the island however. Snorkeling is ok but not like the best part of the island. Traditional style place without luxury but they have everything you need"

"We appreciated the natural setting and the steps to preserve nature and the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching all of the beautiful fish and rays, wow! Loved the beautiful views and water access. We also loved the rustic but elegant vibe of the decor. Every piece looked carefully chosen and fit perfectly. The bed and linens were amazing and comfortable. The waterfront bungalow we stayed in was well equipped for us to make breakfast and snacks. So peaceful!!! A slice of paradise. "

"Kaveka is lovely. This is by far the best of 3 hotels/resorts we stayed at while in Tahiti. Our bungalo was steps away from the water where we could watch fish swim around the reef or look up at the dramatic tropical mountain landscape near us. When it rained, we relaxed under the covered patio enjoying the views of rain without actually being wet. Kaveka is a great deal compared to other resorts, especially if you want a more quiet and intimate vacation. You can swim around some reefs right at the hotel which is very convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable. There are some friendly hotel cats and dogs that wander around the property during the day. And the staff is nice and helpful. We can't wait to come back. I'm hoping to bring the whole extended family one of these days :D "
