"I was hesitant after reading some of the previous complaints, but booked The Cove on a whim. I absolutely LOVED my stay. It was in a quite, safe neighborhood and we were able to walk anywhere that we needed to go! The view of the beach across the street was wonderful and we loved that we could open the windows and catch the ocean breeze. We felt safe sleeping with the windows open and were never awakened by other guests or traffic noises. Complaints that I reviewed said that they had a difficult time finding the entrance: We walked (2 older women) with ease to the place in the early evening from the train station and found our entrance with ease. Another complaint - this is a self-check in facility. I loved that I didn't have to bother with anyone and the instructions were very easy to follow! I am technically challenged and had NO issues. Unexpected bonus - there is a filtered water refill in the downstairs "club house'. We also had a wonderful selection of simple breakfast come and go items that worked great for grabbing and eating lunch later at a restaurant. We actually appreciated the fact that this was a sleepy town as things do close relatively early. We found it refreshing and enjoyed retiring early so that we were refreshed to walk again in the a.m. The shower was great too! The only con: I thought that there would be a couch that could be made into a bed but it was just a futon. "

"Beautifully landscaped & situated with plenty of on site parking. Clean room & common space. A little strange with no one there but no trouble contacting rep when I had trouble finding my code to get in the room. Bed, bath & shower were perfect & clean. Just a short drive to beautiful Rockport, 10 minutes from Gloucester & 25 minutes to Salem. A minimalist room with everything you need, I would definitely go back!"

"Looked to me that the property had been recently modernized as the kitchen was wonderfull, all the other areas where neat, clean and updated as far as I could tell. No issues with house, TV service took some learning but thats not the locations fault. Overall good stay. "

"I originally booked the studio apartment managed by the proprietresses but was informed about a scheduling error a few days prior to my trip and was consequently given a complimentary upgrade to an entire home adjacent to the studio - same location, same check-in process, just more space! My boyfriend and I loved staying in the home and would absolutely stay again while bringing 6 additional people along, it's that spacious. Amazing location in Rockport with access to numerous amenities in the home to maximize comfort."

"My husband and I wanted to go Whale Watching so we booked Erin’s house. The house was Perfect….warm, welcoming and so comfortable. Erin gave great ideas for where to go, what to do. Unfortunately a storm prohibited us from whale watching but we loved touring around Rockport, Gloucester and Salem. Definitely a great weekend "
