Beautiful building that blends historic charm with modern upgrades. Rockport is terrific, scenic town, close enough to Salem and Boston. Staff was amazing.

Marshall was the best! Always so helpful with whatever we needed. The brown bag breakfast was perfect! Best croissants I've ever tasted. Bed linens were excellent. The place is in a peaceful residential area that's only about five minutes' walk to shops and restaurants. Would be happy to stay again!

We loved our stay at Addison Choate Inn! It was cozy and comfortable! We were able to walk everywhere which was really nice! The staff is next level - they really made us feel special after finding out we were traveling for our honeymoon! 10/10 recommend!!

The hotel is within walking distance of all the Rockport waterfront shopping and dining, a big plus. Our room was accessible only by very steep and narrow stairs, which make it unsuitable for anyone with knee or hip problems. We were lukewarm about the cold "bag breakfasts."

We were very happy with our stay. Staff sent a text letting us know when our room would be ready and asked us our approximate arrival time. No one was there when we arrived, so I sent a text, and Marshall said he would be back in 5 minutes. Any questions we had were answered promptly in person or via text. We were able to fill out a form and hang it on our door before bed indicating which items we would like for breakfast in the morning. There were quite a few items to choose from. It was a short walk down to the harbor, shopping, and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again. The only negative was the narrow curving staircase to the second floor where our room was located (we are older and our knees are painful, but we managed).

Great place but bed needs support
The service here was stellar-both Jim and Mitchell were very welcoming and friendly. The place is cute and perfectly located close to town. The common areas were nicely appointed, and we enjoyed listening to a few records with friends. The bed in Dog Watch was horrible. The first challenge is the floor is slanted, causing one’s head to be inverted (perhaps adding risers to the headboard would help?). The second issue is the bed is way too soft…one folds into it. We tried flipping it to see if it helped, but it didn’t and so we ultimately slept with our heads at the foot to try and help. Very little sleep. I also hit my shin/ankle on the corner of the bed multiple times as the frame is a tad big on the edges and difficult to get around. Our friends had a room in the front and didn’t have the same challenges with their bed, so while I’d certainly return, I’d avoid Dog Watch. We liked the two story option though and having the kitchenette.

A hidden jewel
This is one of the best places we have stayed. The facilities were immaculate. Room perfect in comfort and detail. Very short walk to shops and restaurants. Lovely owners and welcoming reception!

Cannot say enough good things about my stay here. Marshall was extremely professional, polite, and courteous. Our room was clean, cozy and just perfect for us, we didn’t want to leave. Location was perfect. It was just a short walk down to the main town area. We loved the breakfast options, tasty and simple. A perfect way to stay our day. We hope to come back again!!!

It was well decorated, neat, updated and clean.The owner was helpful and friendly. The bed could have been more comfortable. The packed breakfast was good, but a cooked meal might have been more of a special treat, given the price to stay for a night. Small,things could be added —like a full length mirror. Or close up makeup mirror. However the bath was very clean and spacious. Lovely place to stay and convenient location!
