"Chose this house because of location. Our first time on the big island so wanted to visit both Hilo and Kona side. Location allowed for good options each day as it was less than 2 hours from Hilo, and only an hour away from Hilo . House is great and host is super responsive. You can tell how much this house is cared for. The home is somehow cozy and spacious at the same time. Very charming decor and has a ton of stuff for family nights. "Our 4th time to stay here. Love the location and listening to the surf at night. We saw all kinds of marine life as well as cardinals, mynas and other birds. A windy road getting in and out,but all part of the experience. Dan is a great host, available if needed. The closest town,Ocean view, is a nice place to go for dinner or groceries. A great place to go for relaxation and away from the party crowd."

"We stayed at Kona Cliff House for five days, a perfect getaway after the chaos of Waikīkī. The house is beautifully furnished and maintained and the view from the lanai is stunning. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed to cook all of our dinners. Climbing the stairs to the house is a workout and the roads are steep, but the house itself is perfect."

The home is exactly as pictured. Watching the waves crash on the volcanic coast and come up through the blowhole on the property was mesmerizing. The hosts communicate well. The grounds were beautiful, full of fruit trees and beautiful flowers, white ginger, bird of paradise, etc.. The sunsets were picturesque and what you'd expect from a south Kona view. The hosts were very attentive and resolved any minor issues that came up. I would totally stay here again."
