"Once I saw this listing I knew it would be perfect for my wife and I to relax after spending NYE in Auckland. The town of Russell is full of relaxation and vibrancy all packed into one place. If exploring the beaches, the many restaurants or taking the ferry over to Paihia everything is right at hand. The view from the unit was spectacular and the bed was very comfortable and clean. I am looking forward to staying again on my next New Zealand Adventure. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sanctuary Palms everything is set up to allow for a relaxing stay. The photos really don’t do it justice it is a beautiful home from home. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. We were a little worried about negative reviews about the parking situation and yes, it is tight but it’s only a short walk to find plenty of free on street parking which we favoured so that our large rental car didn’t cause any bother to other guests. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this heritage house. The patio is a beautiful spot to sit and overlook the bay. We used the kayaks every day, which was a huge bonus to the rental. It's a 2 minute walk from the general store and fish and chips shop and a few more to the marina. We would absolutely recommend this stay."
