"This place is absolutely perfect. Cabin #4 was incredibly clean and cozy. We were up visiting our son who plays football at MTU, and felt right at home. The game room, hot tub, and sauna was definitely an added bonus. That will come in handy during future stays for ski trips as well. This is a must stay for anyone visiting the Houghton/Hancock area. Kari and her husband now have lifelong customers. "

"Once again, this site offered the best facility for the price and was amazing. The feeling of being out in the woods and yet only 15 minutes from downtown Houghton is perfect. "

"We do an annual side by side trip. We have a group of 5 couples. These accommodations were perfect. It was very nice that evey room had its own bathroom!!"

"We have stayed at Northwinds Adventures numerous times since 2016. The cabins are very clean and well appointed, and the owners communicate promptly. These are modern cabins with a Northwoods feel, but also the amenities of home. Perch is my favorite layout, and the shower is nicer than my shower at home! Highly recommend."

"We had a great stay! Amazing mornings & sunsets on the dock & lake view. Close to Houghton for campus tour/visiting Tech. Beautiful day trip to Copper Harbor. Taking the kayaks out was easy & fun. Great bird watching & rock hunting nearby. Clean & Cozy. Recommend & will stay again!"

"Nice place to host thanksgiving "

"It was quite cozy and perfect for a short stay for two of us! It was clean and check in was easy. The doggy blanket and dishes were a cute touch! The only drawbacks were the lack of green space for our pooch to potty, we had to cross a busy road to reach grass. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and we could hear our neighbors above and next door. Don’t let that deter your stay, the close proximity to town and cleanliness made up for the very few drawbacks!"

"This unit was new and very clean. The layout was impressive as they fit everything needed into this unit. There are a number of stairs down to the lower unit. The water views were terrific."

"Everything was what it said it was and looked like. Trail was right down the road. There was parking for everyone and it worked out great for us. We will definitely be back "

"This was a great location for the family to celebrate December graduation. Bedrooms for each couple, with bathrooms. Large kitchen table to play games or just hang out. Boot warmer was a nice touch. Not sure why the thermostat reset at 2am to 72 but it was easily lowered to a tolerable temp. Very nice to have two fridgesdegrees"

"We picked this property because it is dog friendly. It is close to Houghton but far enough away for quiet time on the water. We enjoyed the deck and the grill a lot. Having Two refrigerators was so nice. Each of our family members had their own room and bathroom. Lots of room in the living room and big table for large families and playing cards or games. "We’ve been told that this is one of the best resorts on the peninsula to stay in. We were impressed with the cabin and its big rooms. Plenty to do including a game room and a spacious balcony where you can hang out when the weather conditions are right. Plenty of parks to hike or sight see and the college nearby has some football and hockey games for entertainment too."
