"We got this house because it was the only thing we could find that was affordable in Durham for a family my size. It had a terrible mildew/sulfur smell that hit you as soon as you walked in the door. There were paper towels to wipe your hands in the bathroom but no trash cans. We really were unsure if the sheets were clean. There were stains all over the walls that looked liked body fluid. My mom feel down the stairs because they were unsteady and deep. "We had a wonderful multi-gen holiday visit at this home. I was looking for a place with living room seating for my whole group including the family we were in town to visit, and this home delivered. It's on a busy street, but the large back yard is lovely and there are no rear neighbors. Ample parking, with space to turn around before pulling onto the street. Although not wheelchair accessible because of the short staircase down to the living room, it's otherwise on one level with no porch...

"Excellent home and host! Very clean and comfortable, and communication from the host was quick, friendly, and helpful. Beds were extremely comfortable, every room was well equipped with linens, home decor was warm, inviting, and fun. Location of the home was great for exploring Duke University and the downtown Durham district. "

"The listing photos and description are accurate for this nice house. I was surprised at how busy the road is, which makes the front bedroom of the house noisy for sleeping—but that’s just a location issue, not a fault of the hosts, who were easy to interact with and asked little of guests. "

"The area turned out to be perfect for watching the stars, very little ambient light. It was wonderfully quiet (off season). The host was helpful and responsive to questions. And the place was bright and clean, with lots of thought put in to making it comfortable."

"Very clean, well kept. Worked great for extended family. BBQ worked fine and hot tub was a treat. Cozy backyard set up! Very walkable to small downtown area. Kitchen was new & well furnished. We liked that MBR had own sitting area with French doors - great for multi-Gen family stay. Only comment is house is on corner of two busy streets so you do hear road noise, especially in. Morning. "
