"Second time staying here and although the weather was, again, less than great, it was still a great time and the units and overall space are still really well maintained. Surat Bay is accessible and, further along, so is cannibal bay. Owaka nearby is also a lovely spot for an hour or two, with a solid restaurant, great coffee place, superb book shop and quaint little museum and community space. It is a beautiful spot, far from the world where all you'll hear are birds, the sea and wind moving through water ... And rain! Lots of rain! But without the rain, you wouldn't get that lush kiwi green."

"The room we had was well set up with just about anything needed for kitchen supplies. The view from the kitchen and balcony was spectacular. We were very comfortable here and would happily stay longer next time."

There is a very welcoming and family oriented feel to the property, and their two labs are friendly and good company. Beautiful flowers and trees nestled near a river with pastures of sheep. Ray offered alot of info regarding nearby sites and lifestyle in his part of NZ. The property is small and separate rooms for fridge and kitchen/bathroom which is detailed on his site."
