"Arriving at 3.30 we had to fight our way to the bar of this Irish club to check in (it happened to be St. Patrick's Day !) The barmaid did come and show us our room however, a triple with 3 single beds. It was very cold and the radiator stayed stone cold until at least 7 p.m. and was cold in the morning when we were getting up. The room was very basic and there was no waste paper bin. Mare Fen Local nature reserve managed by the local wildlife trust and Cambridgeshire County Council. The reserve is closed in winter (1st January-30th April) to prevent disturbance, but the wildlife on the flooded meadows can be watched from the road. It is grazed by cattle in the summer.
