The house was ideal for them and gave us some ability to easily get back-and-forth to our house while also providing ability for them to have their own peace and quiet. The grounds/gardens of this home are really great and it was an inspiration to what we'd like to do at our own home. "Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hooks Nest. It’s a beautiful house in a perfect setting. We struggled, tho, with the high-tech switches for the lights. And we never did figure out how to use the washing machine. Not sure if this was our user problem or something with the appliance. "

"The Orcas Hotel is for people who like the charm of past century architecture and conditions and don't mind paying an arm and leg for it. I was desperate for accommodations for a couple of nights at the peak of summer, so grabbed the couple of nights available here. The first night I payed $195 for a bed, bath, TV and floor fan. The 2nd night I paid $100. for a bed, dresser, & bath down the hall. Not a good value, but they charge that much since they can. "

"This property provided a rich experience for a family gathering. We loved the opportunities to share the fun of gathering eggs, picking fresh vegetables, and then making a meal using them.
