"Quaint pub dating from around 1729 in the Gunsmith quarter of Birmingham. As I was waiting outside to check in, there was a walking group from a historical tour who passed by and the leader gave a commentary on the pub. Booked a triple room with en-suite which also had coffee making facilities. The pub will store your luggage for you. Stayed in the room frequented by British rock stars Robert Plant and Christie McVie, which was a nice. Despite being next to rail station we heard nothing. "I booked the stay at White Cottage for my wife, Anne, as she was visiting from Australia and needed a location close to her family in Wombourne. She was delighted with the friendliness of Jackie & Rob who made her feel completely "at home". The room had everything that she needed and the breakfasts were superb. "Really pleased with our overnight stay, had a free upgrade which was lovely, rooms were spotless and fresh looking. Kitchen area had everything you could need. Bathrooms spotless and great water pressure! All staff were very polite and welcoming and it had a good atmosphere. We rebooked parking and it was a very safe place to leave our car.
