"Lily Cottage is a sweet little gem!! This was first getaway as a family of three (4mo old daughter) and our beloved pup (20lb mini schnauzer!) Lily Cottage was the perfect cozy cottage to getaway for a long weekend. It had everything we needed (kitchen supplies, etc. to make a meal and a washer and dryer! (essential for a baby). The bedroom is able to accommodate a small pack and play or you could arrange it in the living space as well. Our dog also loved the small yard to get some zoomies out. Great location and short distance to Woodstock (great day trip to explore and walk around) and ample hiking trails including the Ashokan Reservoir- it was lovely.The owner, Jim, is very kind, friendly and helpful! We experienced some car trouble while we were out and I called him to ask about nearby mechanics/ tow trucks. He was eager to help and even offered to come pick us up! Luckily, our car issues quickly resolved, but he was there when we got back and helped us further. Just a wonderful, genuine individual. We had such a great time and are looking forward to returning later this summer for more hiking! "

"Great customer service on the phone and at check in, room was older but clean and cozy. You can tell the staff cares about the guest experience. As a bonus, it's directly across the street from the FDR historic site, so I was able to get a ticket for the first tour of the day. I highly recommend staying here if you're on a budget but want to experience the area"
