"There were no surprises when we arrived and checked out the house. It was very thoughtful that there were some food items for our arrival. Everything worked fine and the owner was responsible for a couple of maintenance issues. The yard lights did not come on the last two nights and we missed them. Getting around the area by walking is a little sketchy because the roadway is narrow. We found the ferry stop 10 minutes from the house very convenient."

"Beautiful home with two gorgeous terraces. The shower is a bit tight but the main bathroom is overall very nice. Parking is a bit of a challenge but it’s not terrible you just need to orient yourself in the area because there is lots of parking a very short walk from the property. Angelo is an amazing host. Live like a local at this villa!"

"The property is beautiful! The rooms are large and each has a bathroom- all were very clean. The pool is lovely and view from the pool is the sunset- all outdoor spaces have views, as do all of the rooms. The design and decor are also lovely. There are two separate office/public spaces in the villa in case some members of your party need to work remotely. "Our stay in this house was wonderful. Francesco, the owner, is a dynamic and warm person who is easy to deal with and always available if you need him. He helped us with dinner reservations, cabs and connected us to the most amazing tour guide in Milan. He provided a chef for breakfasts and for several dinners. "Historic villa property beautifully restored in an amazing location with amazing view. Lunch and dinners on the covered veranda. Would have been better if bath for second bedroom were not down the hall. The owner was wonderful. At our request arranged for a private chef to come to the villa which was lots of fun, and delicious. She also arranged for restaurant reservation for the evening we arrived. "It was much as I had expected, very clean, good views over the valley and excellent communication with Monia, the owner. We succeeded in stealing a key and a mirror and leaving a pair of glasses behind, all of which are finding their way back. Monia is even paying my parking fine for me as I have no idea how to do it and want to remain law abiding!! A great holiday!! PS. Take her advice re going to the Canottieri rowing club for meals.
