"Service was excellent, rooms and facilities were kept clean. Didn't need to wait to use the facilities. Basic and small but excellent location and friendly helpful staff! First room was noisy as it was on the main road but the window didn't seem to close properly or offer sufficient sound proofing. "

"Quick check-in and they were very lenient with our check-in time. Ability to leave our bags at the hotel on the last day between our check out time and flight was a nice amenity. The futons were not very comfortable."

"The interior was very homelike and organized. Everything was very clean and the owner was quite nice. The train station and several convenience stores are also just 5 minutes walks away."

"Superb location and friendly staff. The rooms are a little close which could be loud."

"We stayed in a 4-beds room, all furniture is in good condition. The setting is same as shown. The room has some spaces to open up 2 large suitcases. The washroom and shower room are separate, and towels are provided. I will suggest to add some hooks in the shower room for handing the towels."

"The room was very well-prepared and the owner is kind and helpful, and seems like she has some interesting stories to tell. I was hoping the bar would be a gathering spot for all the guests, but I never saw it open (appears to be by reservation?) That we were encouraged to return by 9 PM was also a bit onerous (given it is 30 minutes from the city centre), but an understandable part of the guesthouse experience."

"I was a little shocked to discover it was a love hotel after I had checked in. It was clean and safe and I would probably stay there again. It was a little strange to begin with for a foreigner but like I said, clean and safe. What more could you ask for at that price "

"Hello. I was able to extend my stay by two weeks but I had to contact the management company directly. The people were nice and the process was relatively painless. To do this through Expedia would’ve been more troublesome, I think. The part about GGH that I did not like was when the cleaning staff would come in a clean things up. "Great location for Nara main attractions. Easy to find restaurants, next to a market, short walk to Nara Park. The place is new, easy to find and easy to use in general. Few things could be improved. Check in instructions were sent in Japanese only and we needed some codes to access the place so it wasn’t straight forward. "A wonderful stay in this marvellous hotel. Short walking distance to Namba station with many choices of local foods nearby. Staffs were friendly and no problem with english. Room was big enough for my family of 3. Have a small kitchen, dining area and also a bathtub too. "

Nice hotel

"Hotel in the heart of Umeda - easy access to transport and shopping. The hotel is expansive and many people coming and going in the lobby. We enjoyed the location but the lifts were annoying with having to take two separate lifts to get to hotel, then another up to your room. Room was comfortable and clean, we liked the separate toilet from shower. "

Hotel Monterey - a great hotel

"Checking in at the Hotel Monterey Le Frere was a very straight forward process! Elevator brings you to reception immediately. Because of it's central location in Kita Ward it was a very popular location. The hotel and the room was very clean and spacious for chain hotels of this nature. With a Lawson and a pharmacy in the same building space, convenience was at an all time high. I would gladly stay here again it was a lovely experience."

"The hotel is very nice and clean. The room has very good size for two people. My room has excellent city view. The staff is very friendly and super helpful! My sister lost her necklace while showering. The staff tried their best to help her to look for it. Although it was not found but we really appreciate their efforts! The location of the hotel is perfect and close to everything. We love the stay."

"This was a great location for a visit to Osaka, located directly above the Namba station and many transit lines. The staff spoke English reasonably well, and were focused on service. It took me about a day to get oriented to the massive underground shopping center and transit hub and the connected buildings, but once I did, it was easy to navigate. Also easily walkable to Dotonbori is a popular entertainment district in Osaka, Japan, known for its nightlife, shopping, and street food. The breakfest buffet on the top floor of the hotel offered a great selection and stunning views, and was handled very efficiently. Overall, a great experience. I would stay here again."
