"This property is in a lovely, mostly quiet, residential area not far from restaurants and shops. (Some neighbors seemed to be gearing up for a party one night but all was quiet by 9:30 PM.) The walk to the business district was pleasant and less than 1 mile. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The room and surroundings were clean and comfortable, fine for the price. Ohakune is a short drive from Tongariro National Park and refreshingly uncrowded. Restaurant choices were...

"An older style motel but perfectly adequate for our overnight stay. Clean & comfortable. Our room was upstairs and there is no lift, so could be an issue for someone with mobility problems. or found it difficult to carry luggage. "

"A nice spot to stay if your in Ohakune, mid-way between a hostel and a hotel. Can be a little noisy but very comfortable and generally clean, depending on how busy it is and the time of day. Good price."
