"Wonderful stay in Pigsty Cottage. Steve and Lizzie were very welcoming and even stocked the fridge with a few essentials to get us through the next morning. Lovely and private, we had a car and were in a perfect location to access Stone Henge, Avebury, Bath, Oxford, Stratford on Avon and more. Steve even told us about the Kennet and Avon locks which were an engineering marvel. My husband even got to try his hand (and back) at opening the gates. "Recommend the property unreservedly but suggest you book directly through cottages.com as that is where Vrbo will throw you anyway. The Vrbo system was a massive let down and caused a great deal of stress with confirmation of the booking. Give them a wide berth but enjoy thi ssuper property if you can."

"We had a ladies friends weekend away in early Nov. Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Log burner was fab and ability to have extra check out time for a small fee was worth it. Having the added bonus of the spa pass made the weekend extra special. The owners are particularly excellent and quick to respond with any of our questions. All good - highly recommended. We intend to return."

"I was disappointed at the cleanliness. It seemed as just the bare minimum was cleaned. There is quite a bit of mold in every window and in the bathroom. The bathroom had cobwebs and multiple spiders. the shower and sink had pink mold as if it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. The baseboards and around furniture had thick dust built up. "Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, spacious, rustic yet modern, warm and cosy. Well equipped. Quiet location next to a farm. We loved staying here and will definitely stay again. Rural, but close to Swindon, Royal Wootton Bassett and M4. Owners helpful and on-hand for any queries. We were left some milk and eggs which was nice. "

"Perfect place to get away and relax"

"Stunning lodge in the most beautiful setting. This was our third visit to Lower Mill Estate. Coot Lodge is a very spacious 3 bedroom lodge - with double height living accommodation, huge decked area, with bbq. It’s close proximity to the spa and pool made it super easy to walk to. Lots of towels and clean bedding. We were spoilt for board Games. The property is so lovely that we didn’t really want to leave to go anywhere! We would highly recommend and would book to visit again."

"12 of us stayed at this beautiful house for 3 nights to see in the new year together, we had the most wonderful time. The house was perfect for all ages, there was something for everyone. We particularly liked that we could sit together in the living area and eat meals together as there was a dining table big enough for all of us. The games room and pool were perfect additions. Everyone enjoyed themselves which is a hard task when catering for all ages. We will be back, thank you"

"We were a group of 7 staying (4 adults, 3 children) for 3 nights. The cottage had everything we could need. There are 2 bedrooms perfectly set up for kids with the other 2 for adults. The bathrooms were decent and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more, although some cupboard space to store our food would have been nice.The outdoor dining space was very peaceful and pretty although a little overlooked. "Myself and a friend stayed for a couple weeks over Christmas and New Years. Having never been to the Cotswolds before, this was in a great location! It was an easy walk to the high street and many great shops to easily get groceries. We highly recommend the nearby Lynwood & Co for breakfast and coffee. From Lechlade we were an easy drive to all the major Cotswold towns - Stowe on the Wold, Burton on the Water, Burford and many more. Oxford and Blenheim Palace were also close by. Julia and...

"A fantastic short break with great walks, shopping in Marlborough and relaxing in a lovely cottage which was comfy clean and really well equipped with everything you could want. Some thoughtful touches included goodies for us and treats for my dog! Will definitely be returning. "

"We stayed for 2 nights for a special birthday. The communications beforehand were informative and friendly. When we arrived the welcome was warm and the property was lovely. It was exactly as described as well as being clean and well equipped. The outside space was also excellent with a good sized, enclosed and safe garden.
