The cons: - No elevator — and 53 stairs. - Very little natural light. It’s a long narrow apartment with a couple of windows at each end (looking out on a narrow shaft). "The location is a bit out of the way in a transitioning neighborhood, but overall, the place was clean, bright, pleasantly decorated, plenty of space, private rooftop patio access (which was great for the wonderful weather we had). "

"My friend and I had a nice stay at the apartment. The place was clean and looked just as advertised. There was a small issue with lighting as one of the power outlets was out but the host offered to come and fix it, though we declined. Great communication and an overall nice stay. "

"Very nice and comfortable stay in a beautiful historic building. Having safe and secure free parking attached to the building was a major draw! Not having to worry about finding a parking spot and paying additional parking fees in the city alleviated unnecessary stress. Our stay was due to a family member having surgery with a week long hospital stay at the nearby Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The property is conveniently located only 2.5 miles away from the hospital making it easy...

"The only security between my family and anyone on the street (in a rather rough-looking neighborhood) was an unlocked door to the building and a hollow-core apartment door with a simplistic key code. There is no loading zone to park to unload a vehicle, except for the driveway of the bodyshop next door. While the apartment itself was generally clean, the building was not. "While I contacted the host as soon as it became clear that the air conditioner was not working at all and the apartment was 85 degrees and she was polite and communicative, she did nothing to remedy the situation so we got very little sleep in the sweltering apartment. She apparently contacted Maintenance but they never came. There was also a road closure that made it impossible to enter the building garage. There were also no washcloths, and the kitchen had only a few glasses and no corkscrew....

"Gladys was an excellent host. She realized my original rental was double booked. She quickly provided me with an upgrade and another rental at the same location. The place was great and had convient parking. Will definitely stay again next time in Philly."
