"Loved it here, outside of town. It was a drive to the springs and piedra trail but worth it for the price and privacy and quiet. The stars were amazing. I found a little trail to take the dogs on in the mornings. Everything you needed was in the cabin and it was really clean and cozy"

There were cobwebs in the light fixtures in the kitchen, lots of light switches to try to figure out what goes to what, lack of towels, empty body wash container in one bathroom, fireplace didn't work and we had to have someone come out and they took quite a while to get there. "Great secluded location but close to town. Great views. By 10 am everyday the back patio was in the shade and we spent a good bit of time just enjoying the great weather and wonderful views of the East Range. In the afternoon, we spent on the patio grilling. In the evening we were able to turn off the lights and not have any light pollution; then have incredible views of the Milky Way. We will stay here again!!"

"Very cute and clean rental property. We saw deer on property 2 out of 5 mornings we were there. We were out and about most of the time but this property is nicely furnished for cooking, etc. It is a 19 mile drive from Durango but we did not mind the drive at all! Bayfield is a cute little town and good restaurant options. We would love to rent this space again if we travel to Durango in the future."

"This house was great but it does not have an AC. The FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS. The actual fee to rent was about $95/night totaling about $300. When all other fees were added in it turned into a $900+ weekend."

"Quaint mountain cabin overlooking the river and lights of the small mountain village. Within easy drive to town, hiking areas. An hour from Durango. Very quiet and beautiful views. Had problems with mice or would have rated higher - scratching noises at night and feces on stairs during stay. Experienced healthcare due to a riding accident and very quality care. VIP worked with us to extend our stay which was very helpful due to circumstances."

"We've now come twice and absolutely love the house and the setting. The view from the deck is beautiful - looking down on what looks to me like Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Kitchen is planned so well that I was inspired to update our kitchen. And the kitchen is well-stocked. The primary bedroom is ever so comfortable and we couldn't ask for more in the bath. BTW this is our 5th trip to PS since 2018 - does that say we love the Pagosa Springs area? If you go in the autumn, plan to do the Cumbres...

"Great throwback hotel. I love to see old things restored and the property owners hit a home run here. The rooms are a fantastic mix of old and new. Often one of the big negatives to old properties is a dearth of outlets for the tech in our lives. Not so at the El Rancho. The lobby is great and the atmosphere charming even if it’s a bit kitschy. The restaurant is decent, not great, but good for Gallup, NM. I will be back. "
