You definitely will need a hire car if you want to explore the local area, as porto moniz is quite small with just a handful of places to go."

"Charming villa well located within minutes of the town. You do need a car to get there and parking on the street is easy. Rooms were comfortable and shared bathrooms were cleaned often. Great renovated kitchen with large balcony attached. The host is welcoming and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there. "

"Loved the pool and hot tub, breakfast was generous and delicious. Can easily walk around town. Room was comfortable. As a solo traveler I felt safe. I had an ocean view with a little balcony. Was perfect."
