"We stayed for a week in this perfect hotel. The location is amazing. Staying with our teenage/early 20's children, we took 3 rooms - 105, 106 and 112. Each room has its own balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the view along with a little pull out drying rack. 105 being the smallest of the 3 rooms has a shower room with the best view of the ocean! 112 has a different view onto the ocean with a beautiful Mountain View combined. All rooms have a minibar. Rooms are clean and bright and it's lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the sea! We stayed half board which is something we don't normally do. Breakfast is varied, well stocked with something for everyone. Evening meal has the same menu every night and whilst there are a range of choices it does get repetitive. Food though is fresh and there are 3 courses. We actually arrived too late on our first night and staff offered us a lunch in the rooftop restaurant which was amazing. The staff are all very accommodating and speak a few languages. Towels are provided for the pool areas just remember to obtain a complimentary entrance ticket from reception before you go as the natural pools are actually run by a different company. We hired a car which we feel is a must in Madeira as this beautiful country has much to see and do. We were glad that we choose to stay in Porto Moniz as it is the quieter side of the island which suited us. The hotel itself was busy but also quiet at night making it the ideal place to stay. "

"Great place, walk to pools in less than two minutes. Didn’t have great weather, but everything else was great. Huge breakfast buffet. Nice pool and sauna too! "

"Cute houses with a wonderful garden! The house is quite dark and humid, hence humidifier is always on; also requires some renovation. Basic breakfast though served nicely. Did not have much interaction with the host. "
