"The building is beautiful and the room I had was nice. The manager was not great. They had asked when I would be arriving, and I called and left a message and also texted, but when I got there I stood outside for over 10 min in the cold. Rang doorbell twice and texted. You're not allowed to wear shoes. Shared bath, and make sure you don't touch anything or leave anything, including your towels. There were no hand towels. I felt like an intruder, not a guest. "

"I love the end! The location for us was fantastic being that we walk quite a bit. The headlands are right out. Your front door and downtown is about .6 miles. The road was kind of tight but made walking doable. The service was great, and the breakfast was great. The view at breakfast can’t be beat. The only disappointment was the bathroom, especially the shower. Way overdue for a makeover. The general manager did tell us they were going to remodel it, but that didn’t do us any good. "Great place on the beach near Elk. Wonderful breakfast served in the room. We had the accessible “hideaway”. Roll in shower. If you can, lovely walk down to the beach. We would stay there again!!!"

"The hosts were very friendly and helpful, eager to please. They gave great suggestions of where to go in town. The building is historical so revuew is taking this into consideration. Our room (south) really needed an extra table to be able to sit at or place our suitcase on. There was plenty of room for one The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was close enough to town to walk but we drove due to rain. A nice place if you feel historical. Breakfast was decent, not over the top...

"Arriving at the Shiraz Boutique Bed and Breakfast is like being transported to another time. Not only is it a historic house, filled with beautiful antiques from all over the world (painstakingly selected by the lovely owners, David and Alex), but this is a real, honest-to-god bed and breakfast, folks. One of the last of its kind where the owners greet you with a pot of tea, make you breakfast, and will sit and chat with you to learn about your travels and regale you with stories of their own....

"We enjoyed our stay at Emerald Forest. The campground is stunning - we had a massive redwood right next to our cabin. There were a few issues that came up during our time there, but the management team was very responsive and helped us resolve them. If you want a peaceful, sylvan place to stay while visiting the Redwoods, this is a great option."

"EVERYTHING was Fantastic. Staff was superb. Particularly Kayla, my new best friend. And Meghan, bartender at the lounge, open Thurs-Sat nights. One of the best lobbies I've ever seen for looks, atmosphere, and ability to sit quietly. You could walk around the hotel for an hour; so much history. Wide range of dining options within. 02/mile. Easy parking, walking distance to many shops, museums, etc. And if you like fresh sushi, ask staff for directions to Co-op. Definitely check out the boardwalk and Dick Taylor Chocolate. I was on day 60 of a 90-day cross-country drive. I booked for 3 nights knowing I may (or may not) want to extend; I stayed 15 nights. And wish I could've stayed more. And I've never written this much about a hotel, but they deserve it."
