"The Takinoyu Hotel was superb! It was larger than I thought and very luxurious feeling. We booked one of their more traditional rooms which was very spaceous and the view of the garden was lovely. We didn't have time to visit their baths but they looked very nice. The staff were great also, very friendly and helpful! Overall excellent hotel, would definitely stay here again! "

"We stayed here for a week while visiting our daughter who lived nearby. The staff were friendly, and polite. No problem with communication even though I do not speak Japanese. I really enjoyed their breakfast buffet. The view of the mountains from the room can't be beat. I agree with one review that said the toilet in the reception is the best toilet I have been to in Japan, as crazy as that may sound. Highly recommend!"

"The breakfast is truly an amazing value!! Such an abundance of healthy, hearty food for 500 yen. The bath is quite nice! The lobby and lounge areas are super swanky, too! The single-person room was good enough for me! A complementary snack and teabags, with a hot water pot and a pitcher of ice water provided. Very polite and kind staff at checkin, breakfast, and checkout. They also held my luggage for the day after checkout."

"Even with our limited Japanese skills, the staff understood and communicated with us with great ease. Everyone was extremely nice, polite and pleasant. The breakfast and dinner menus were copious, delicious and made with local ingredients. Even a simple tomato could shine with the incredible skills of the chef. "Rug was grubby looking, this was the only place where we did not want to walk around barefoot and used slippers in the room. Really didn't like the fabric toilet seat cover. Onsen was small. Checkout at 9 am too early!"

"Just 20 minutes drive from the city centre and skiing site. The staff is very helpfull and polite. The room is very clean and tidy. The onsen is on the top floor with a very good view. A highly recommended hotel. "

"Excellent service. Free shuttle to and from Tendo station. They also managed to keep and deliver our luggage to station after check out. There is a tax free shop and supermarket within walkable distance. Dinner and breakfast is good and fulfilling. Onsen is relaxing."

Overall is very good . Just some minor improvement

"The overall service is good and the view is nice. I would recommend this property. Just some minor issue in winter time. The parking is a bit far and snow cause a bit difficulty to access. The insulation is not quite good for winter. The shower area and the way to open air bath is cold. "
