"We stayed at the Border Hotel for a couple of nights while walking St Cuthbert’s Way. The bath was a very welcome addition to the bathroom & we certainly made use of it during our stay. The bed was a little too soft & a bit lopsided but after our hikes we slept like logs anyway. This is a no frills hotel but it had everything we needed. Hearty food & a lovely friendly team. "

"We stayed at Burt’s the night before commencing our long distance walk along St Cuthbert’s Way. Upon our arrival we were greeted incredibly warmly. My suitcase was carried up to our room - which was very much appreciated. We enjoyed a tasty evening meal & hearty breakfast which ensured an excellent start to our hike. The team were attentive & nothing was too much trouble. I’d recommend Burts to anyone & would happily stay again. Thank you team Burt’s for a lovely nights stay! "

"Very quiet, checkin was seem less, very easy and room was beautiful. I had booked a king and required it to be a twin, this was no problem and the ‘late maid’ setup the room perfectly! Highly recommend this hotel. "
