"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Before arrival, I requested a bouquet of flowers and some balloons to be arranged in our room, and it was beautifully set up just as we hoped. The room itself was lovely, we stayed in a castle valley view room. Waking up to a breathtaking sunrise made it even more memorable. The Sunday roast was exceptional, honestly, the best we’ve had anywhere, and we’ve tried many places for roasts! Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of variety. We even requested a few items not on the menu, and it was no trouble at all. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!"

"The place looks a bit drab from the outside but inside we had a warm welcome from Mary and Lynn and very much enjoyed the cosy bar and restaurant. The rooms were comfortable and warm, the latter an important consideration given that we were hiking and getting wet! "

Clean comfortable room, excellent evening meal with fantastic service Beautiful country inn I would highly recommend the inns directions not your sat nav as I did encounter many narrow lanes to arrive Would definitely return when in the area again "

"Such a brilliant location for us to explore the English Riviera along & around Torbay. The cottage in that village was all we wanted as a base for our explorations. Acorn cottage had all the facilities we needed and was clean, convenient and cozy. Thanks to our host for making us feel welcome!"
