"The house met our needs. Floors are unlevel but that didnt bother us. Several boards were actually split and the floor felt weak in those areas. We were unable to turn on the heat in the double bedroom but we just used an extra blanket."

"Our stay in Amish country was nice. The cottage was clean and well decorated, but could use some updating. The location was nice and quiet, as it was not in the center of town. We did have issues with people accidentally trying to get into our room in the middle of the night and the fire alarm going off, very loudly and abruptly waking us a couple hours after we had gone to sleep. We still lived having a space that was just ours, not sharing a building or walls with other people. "

Going back to Mount Gretna every evening was much better than a hotel, and the hosts of Butterfly Cottage thoughtful, communicated well and made sure the cottage was clean and well-appointed. "My Daughter and I needed a fall getaway for some quiet time and this was perfect for a few days. It was very much like a small cottage. The second bedroom is on the 2nd floor and more geared for children but the first floor bedroom is very comfortable and both beds gave a great nights sleep. Beautiful kitchen and comfortable seating in the living room. We had a lovely time."
