"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this beautifully restored 257 year old farmhouse. The location was peaceful and private — truly an unexpected gem within minutes of the center of New Hampshire’s capital city. During our stay we experienced two snowstorms and we were grateful for our host’s balance of respecting our privacy while also ensuring us safe access in and out of the snowy property. We can’t wait to return in June and again in September! "

"This house was such a find. It sleeps so many adults comfortably. There is so much space and comfortable couches. The kitchen is well stocked with pans and platters, etc. Check in and check out were really easy. It was the best house we could have asked for."

"Very peaceful place with great sun sets & night skies; outdoor space is fantastic, even in the winter but indoors is a bit tight for 12 people & 3 dogs (2 bedrooms are tiny; 1 bedroom is next to oil tank w/o windows so not ideal hangouts; dining table is small requiring eating in shifts; plus hot water runs out after 1-2 showers and iron sediments may appear in the water!). If you don’t mind these nuisances (we didn’t) it’s an amazing place to spend time together … can highly recommend it! "

"Outstanding views. Convenient location. Nicely appointed. Spacious enough for 8 adults and 6 children with opportunities for privacy. Excellent game room. Towels more than plentiful. However, odd that there was not enough glassware to go around. Would rate experience A plus but for one serious shortcoming. The fence in front of property is not secure and potentially hazardous for families with young children."

"We stay. In Alton Bay each year for a couple of concerts at Bank of NH Pavilion in Gilford. We extend it by staying for a couple of days at Lake Winnipesaukee The motel is perfectly located close to the venue and on the lake for swimming and boating while visiting BNH Pavilion. "We did a 2 night getaway with our 3 teenagers and had a wonderful time! Sharon stayed in touch throughout the process. When we arrived everything was spotless. There were so many welcoming touches, including treats for our dog, fresh floral arrangements and yummy brownies!A beautiful well appointed kitchen that was a pleasure to cook in. So many rentals have dull knives and worn out pans etc.The location was great for walking to shops and the lake, however if you’re looking for total quiet this...

"We stayed just before Thanksgiving with two families. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious, and the location cannot be beat. Even though we didn't spend too much time at the house, the time we did spend there felt comfortable and homelike. Our kids loved the loft space and foosball table! The owner was very communicative and helpful. We hope to stay here again in the future! Next time, we'd love to explore the trails behind the property. "
