"Although the property is rural its a perfect base to get to lots of places. If you drive then everything you need is virtually on the doorstep! The property is very close to grocery and retail shops with Chester and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet a short drive away. Gary is the perfect host and we loved the personal "meet & greet". "The cottage was in a perfect location for us. The town centre of Ruthin is within walking distance and there are many interesting destinations a short drive away. The cottage was clean and all the essentials were provided. The bedding and towels were of good quality and the bed was very comfortable. There is secure off-road parking and the garden is fenced around. There is a tall step between the back door and the gravelled garden, but Ruthin is hilly so this should not be a surprise! "

"We travelled from Canada, three sisters and two of our daughters, and wanted to enjoy an authentic English accommodation. We found everything we needed with the unique and luxurious Douglas Cottage. Plenty of space for all five of us, with 3 bedrooms (a total of 4 beds that you melted into, my daughter and I shared the queen bed in the master bedroom ) and 3 bathrooms, it was the perfect fit for us and turned out to be less expensive than 3 hotel rooms. "It is an amazing property, I went with my family as I booked reindeer lodge and made a weekend of the trip and couldn’t fault it at all. The owner got tea, coffee and milk in for us for when we arrived and there was a football net and footballs for the kids, and the garden was massive and secure. I will also add the kids loved waking up and seeing the sheep in the field next door in the morning."

"Overall, we were pretty meh on this place. The wifi didn't work and cell service in this area was spotty which made planning day trips challenging. The place wasn't super clean. With a young child, we ran anti baterial wipes over parts of the house and compared to other places it was much dirtier. We also had multiple spiders and a bee in the cottage which we were there. The blinds in the bedroom let in a lot of light which caused our young child to wake up at 4:30am each morning. There were...

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed at America Farm to visit nearby family. The property has a cosy feeling to it, in a great location."

"Property is ideal for a couple, short or longer stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location is excellent within a quiet area very close to City Centre. Great shops - highly recommended Butcher - and three great Pubs with nearest next door but one and furthest about a minute away. Parking on road is limited to 30 minutes between 0800 and 1800, but parking available close by, and was ok. Would recommend this property."

"We throughly enjoyed our stay , we had good communication with the owners and the cottage was very clean and spacious. Parking was never a problem and it is in a quiet area but very handy for Chester which is a lovey town .The hot tub was great and was used every day . "

"It was good. Room was dusty and mattress cover didn’t fit properly but other than that it was clean. Room position was noisy due to workmen on roof opposite. Also constant noise of bottles being emptied into bin through the night kept us awake. Lifts were slow and one was out of order for most of our stay. Location was great and close to everything. Central for liver building, pier head, Albert dock and Liverpool one shopping centre. It wasn’t clear which car park belonged to the hotel. Ended up...
