I think the only couple of negatives were that the steps up to the door are steep so you do have to watch your step. It would have been helpful we’d been advised that there was an engagement party & live band playing that night as we were staying as we were running the Delamere Forest Marathon the next morning and hoping for an early night as we had an early start. "Simon and Sue welcomed us as old friends of the family and after 2 days we thought we were. They are lovely people, very obliging, we had a fantastic breakfast included. They provided excellent advice on the sights of Liverpool and transport to and from, including the Mersey Ferry, Thankyou for the lift, and a personalised map. Every part of our stay was easy. We thank Simon and Sue for a wonderful stay. Pam and I can not recommend 2 The Rocklands highly enough. 10 out of 5 stars."

"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. "Very slow check in, card machine not working so had to write my card details down on a piece of paper (not sure this is compliant with GDPR). No iron available. Paid £15 for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast but was only continental consisting of a box of cereal, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, rock hard crusty roll and a jar of strawberries. Drove 5 minutes down the road and got 2 full English breakfasts for £16. There was no shower gel and only half a toilet roll left for us....
