"We got a suite room for a great price and it was just what our family needed on our road trip. The separate room allowed the crying baby to be taken out of where everyone else was sleeping. Everyone we interacted with was kind. The hotel was clean. We enjoyed breakfast, which included yummy scrambled eggs, sausage, belgian waffles, buscuits/gravy, hot oatmeal, 4 cereal options, and bagels/toast. If we travel this way again, we will be back. "

"Red Bird Cottage is nestled in the small town of Athens, WV. Located not far from I-77 the location was ideal for visiting my son at Concord University. Basic businesses in Athens, Dollar General, Post Office, CVS and a park all within walking distance or a 5 minute drive. Eating establishments limited however Princeton,WV is a quick 15 minute drive. Red Bird Cottage was charming, extremely clean, and Anita was just as sweet. Not shown in the picture is the amazing fire pit and the adorable squirrel we saw every morning. The road isn’t traveled much so it does have a quiet atmosphere. The added gate on the deck is a nice touch and comfort if you’re traveling with your pet. No detail was missed. "
