"Great option for outside Colombo. We arrived on a late night flight, and only about 30min drive from the airport. The property is positioned well with a variety of restaurants and shops around. The pools were great, long enough to do a few morning laps. The buffet breakfast had a wide range of options, and nice looking out over the beach. "

"About 30 minutes by taxi from the airport. The pool is amazing. The room is a bit worn, but the overall experience made up for it — the restaurant is a gem. It offers lots of food options and a peaceful atmosphere with views of the garden and lagoon. The pool is also very beautiful and well-maintained. "The owners are a very friendly family and they were very helpful when we were planning our trip and wondering where to go! The rooms are very nice with a lovely big and modern bathroom, and the place itself is very close to the beach, and only w 20 minute drive from the airport which is perfect! The Sri Lankan breakfasts were delicious too. Great place and very good value for money!"

"Unfortunately the room let down this hotel. unclean, cracks in the walls, bathroom full of ants and mosquitoes, broken cot for the baby, unclean linen, power trips 3 x a day, bland basic food. 1hr wait for a srilankan breakfast. Staff were very helpful and kind"

"Beacon beach resort is very clean, rooms cleaned everyday, restaurant spotless and good food . The staff was so helpful .Its on the beach, town is about five mins in tuk tuk cheap . would book to stay their again "

"A solid, but bare bones place to stay in Negombo if you’re passing through. The room is spacious and clean, but just the basics. And the hotel is a short walk to the beach, on just on the main road, with a lot of restaurants close by. Not the place you’d want to spend a week, but if you need a no-frills place close to the airport, this does the job."

"Quiet location away from the noisy main road. Only five minutes walk from the beach & restaurants. Nice pool & helpful staff. Would have been good to have a safety deposit box in the room."

"AVOID at all costs! Hotel offers airport transfer - I messaged 3 times, not only did no one come to the airport they had no booking (despite pre paymen) 3 am, not expected, boy that didn’t speak English, more than terrible! Eventually given a filthy room, you wouldn’t put a dog in it! The door didn’t shut let alone lock! Couldn’t even buy a bottle of water, no restaurant as advertised, no breakfast. Absolutely the worst. NOT FIT FOR HUMANS "
