"This was a convenient location for exploring Old San Juan and walkable to the cruise port. Staff was friendly and each room was unique. The facilities were somewhat dated but well maintained and clean. Note: some rooms are on the second floor and there is not an elevator. "

"The hotel is very functional but a little bit run down. Whatever they use to clean the rooms with smells very strong. No food or beverages available. It is relatively close to the airport and cruise terminal. "

"The location and rooms were clean and great! The cleaning staff was very helpful upon my arrival - I was charged $20 to check-in 30 min early which was lame but it was so hot out and needed to get into AC - wouldve appreciated a little hospitality on that but other than that loved the shared fridge space so easy breakfast - can't beat the location! "

"This property was exactly as described, super easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond to provided us with a few extra pillows. Check in/out was so smooth, we felt safe in the area, and were glad to have a designated lot for parking due to nearly no street parking available."

"What a great place!! In the middle of a neighborhood. Doesnt look that appealing but when you go inside the locked gate at Casa Toñita, it's a completely different world! Everything was so vlean and orderly. The pool sparkled the whole week were there. The only thing we didn't care for was it doesn't get very dark in the room at night. There is no blanket on the bed. We had to buy one. And thr neighborhood roosters will start waking you around 130 am... "

"I really enjoyed my stay at The Emerald a ton! My space was extremely clean and up-to-date, while also having a lot of character - it felt like a much more authentic experience than staying at a resort high rise. Its location is fantastic too, as it's within easy walking distance of the beach, a Walgreen's for essentials, as well as a couple restaurants (including the famed Kasalta). It's also a block away from a bus line that runs from the airport to Old San Juan, hitting most of the touristy...

"Such a great stay for 2 nights! Location is in the heart of bars, restaurants and within walking distance to all the historical sights. The room is small but in a very cool open air building. Bathroom is not attached but is right across the room and used the same room key - which was no problem for us! The bathroom was very big! We loved our stay and I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a nice place to stay if you'll be out and about exploring the majority of the day! "

"The front desk is way at the end of the hotel hotel under construction front desk should’ve been centered in the main lobby they had a cashiers office that had zero purpose but yet had a line of people in front of it because the front desk was too far away …… very friendly staff though!"
