"Nice property just off the main street, near train station. It is pet friendly with 3 resident cats roaming around the lobby. You get to book 2 sessions at the baths after checked in, the semi open bath on the 2nd level is popular, while the rooftop bath may not be a good idea in cold weather although the view is great. You get free use of the bicycles for your stay. There is no lift so you have to carry your luggages up and down the stairs."

"Its a great place to stay, nothing fancy, has everything you need. I was here for 4 nights and it was perfect. If I could stay longer then I would go on some day trips to Oita and visit other famous shrines along the coast. Would stay again. Breakfast is very Japanese, small but healthy. There are plenty of options nearby, especially around Beppu Station which is 2min walk away or walk for another 10min for more choices."

"Hotel is newish and lobby offers free welcome juices and teas. Slept well through the nite on the relatively firm mattress. Onsen was crowded after dinner and could have been bigger to accommodate more guests"
