"We stayed 3 nights. What i didn't like was that the hotel only provide Kawaguchiko Station pick-up between 2pm & 5pm. Beside, the mattress was thin & you're sleeping on the hard flooring ...not used to it as it causes backache when you wake up in the morning. Moreover, there's no AC during our stay and they provided a fan for the room air circulation. On the good rating, the staff are conscientious & diligent. The half board breakfast & dinner menu are different on each day."

"It was a memorable opportunity to live and enjoy tradition. I don't think I will ever sleep so well again. Very clean and the staff were very hospitable. Just remember to book for meals early on. "

"Expensive but worth the price if you want a unique experience. You walk into the property and the staff takes your bags for you and guides you to your room. The staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful here. The room is large and comfortable with a private outdoor onsen that'll melt your problems away. The outside of your room has a little garden that has a cherry blossoms and its beautiful. As well as a koi pond but not directly connected with your room. The breakfast that was served was...

"A very enjoyable experience as the oldest hotel in the world. The food is a bit intense for foreigners, but excellently presented and flavorful nonetheless. Extremely professional staff. The room has beautiful scenery of the river and a cozy interior space. "

"The good: great location. We had a wonderful view of Mt Fuji right from our room. Close to the sight-seeing bus line. Close to restaurants and department store. Onsen was fun. Neat to have a room with tatami mats and paper window panels. The bad: older building and in places really showing it's age. Staff only speaks Japanese (but Google translate helps with that). I also learned that futon mattresses aren't comfortable for me (my son loved them)."

"This is by far the most comfortable and luxurious hotel I’ve ever been in and I’ve stayed at 5-6 star hotels globally. You cannot beat them for comfort, service, meals, mountain view and the quality of everything they provide. I absolutely loved my stay here and felt like I was a traditional Japanese hotel along with all the 5 star service provided. Cannot recommend it enough and I will return when I visit Japan next. Loved it"

"Hotel on Kawaguchiko lake. Staff very helpful and happy to hold luggage before check in and after check out. Cool Japanese style room with two toilets. Provided bottled water and free drinks in the lobby. Onsen was relaxing. Two nights was the right amount of time in this area. "

"This hotel was nice and had some great amenities, but it is located pretty far from the train station and it seems the buses in the area stop running at 6:30 pm. Most businesses (like restaurants) also close around this time, so at least you can enjoy the onsen in the evening when there’s not much else to do!"

Relaxing Stay near Lake Kawaguchiko

Wonderful service fraction of a cost

"This property was a little dated compared to some of the others we have stayed at. However, it was very clean and the customer service was top notch. The view of Mt. Fuji from the back of the hotel is breathtaking. The onsen was quite peaceful and relaxing with a mix of hotel guests and locals from the public. Lots of food options near the hotel and the breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. Great service from the front desk. Short walk to Fuji-Q from the hotel. Would stay here again for sure! "
