"We arrived after dark via taxi and were surprised at the incredible location and architecture. This is an authentic Japanese experience— tatami floors and comfortable futon mats!! We knew we would be magically surprised in the morning and we were! It’s nestled up on the hillside with an incredible view of Mt Fuji! "It’s my first time staying in a hostel with shared toilet and bathroom facilities. It was a good experience as everything is clean and there are only 5 rooms at this place. It’s just diagonally across the station. You get beautiful views of mt Fuji from just standing outside. "

"The staff are very accomodating and very welcoming. They picked us up from and sent us to the train station for free. They offered us ( 5 people) a ride with a ¥2000 fee to lake kawaguchi. They also offered to pick us up from the Fujikawaguchiko masjid back to the guesthouse for the same rate later that night but they did not turn up . Instead, they told us to get our own taxi as they have picked up another customer. Luckily we got a help from the masjid cafe staff who called a taxi for us. We...

"Perfect location. Just a 2 minutes walk from Kawaguchiko station and a Hoto noodles restaurant. We stayed a night in a private room with shared bathroom and toilet. The whole premise is very clean. They offer bike rental and free luggage storage. Highly recommended!"

"Property was good, but i found grtting around the area inconvinient as everything was far away from each other. However there is a extensive tourist bus system so you could get to everywhere you wanted to go, it would just tske time "

"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"The ryokan at entrance was beautiful. The lobby and the whole lower floor was spectacular. Loved how walking inside your completely transported to a Japanese experience with bridged walkways shaped of arcs and where there was ponds underneath lthose bridges. Right before entering the onsen, on either men or women, there's an amazing walkway Japanese decorated pathway that leads to their very own and waterfall. "This place was amazing. The hosts were so friendly and helpful it really made the trip perfect. We had a traditional Japanese room and I slept so good on the bedding that my back felt great each morning. The area is beautiful and the host are knowledgeable about the sites visitors come to see. We’ll be coming back. "

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. I closed the door to go to the bathroom downstairs and luckily I had my phone on me with my code, but if I had locked my phone in my room without my code I would've been in a really bad spot since there is no receptionist or on-site staff. Relaxing Stay near Lake Kawaguchiko

Wonderful service fraction of a cost

"This property was a little dated compared to some of the others we have stayed at. However, it was very clean and the customer service was top notch. The view of Mt. Fuji from the back of the hotel is breathtaking. The onsen was quite peaceful and relaxing with a mix of hotel guests and locals from the public. Lots of food options near the hotel and the breakfast was reasonably priced and tasty. Great service from the front desk. Short walk to Fuji-Q from the hotel. Would stay here again for sure! "
