"Elia is a beautiful old property with all mod cons in a stunning location. We stayed six nights and couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay here. The house is beautifully styled and the view from the upstairs deck is stunning. Eirini was so generous with providing general food provisions including butter, milk, bread, eggs, cheese, ham, beer, fresh fruit, etc. plus all the other basics even washing powder for washing machine. The location is perfect, there is a lovely taverna only 50m away which serves the best food but is a very quiet taverna and you are not bothered by noise at all even being that close. It is so nice each day after returning from the busy touristy locations to return to the quiet and peaceful haven of the village. A short walk away from the house is the Minoan site of Chalasmenos which is certainly worth a visit. Thanks Eirini for a fantastic stay, we loved your house!"

"The home is very nice and clean. The host communicated as well as he could as he struggled with english. The host also provide some foods at check in which was very thoughtful! There are a few things that have not been mentioned before that we think should be listed for future renters. 1) There are a ton of steps both inside the property and outside. None have rails which could present a problem with young children and any adult with mobility issues. 2) The host came to the property and walked around every day…at times it felt like we were being monitored. 3). There are 2 outside cameras with one directed at the pool area 4) Mid week the host came and cleaned which was fine…except they were in the home 3 hours which was a bit awkward. The host did ask about cleaning…but we thought he meant changing linens and bedding….had we known we would have made plans to be away and 5). The fridge quit working the 2nd day. The host did have another smaller fridge on the property and did bring it to us within an hour..but it made us think they may have this issue ongoing. We did lose some food but it was not a huge deal. You must have a car for this location."

"The house is lovely - cosy but incredibly well used space and full of character. The views from the terrace are amazing and impossible to capture in a photo - genuinely the best in any place I have stayed anywhere."
