"The host was very helpful, the bed was comfortable, and it had easy access to public transportation. The mini fridge was stocked with sandwiches, snacks and drinks which was great. The other reviews were right about the stairs, they were steep but it wasn't an issue for us. I would stay again."

"This property was centrally located so that everything in Amsterdam was a short walk away. The host David was so welcoming! The stairs getting to the rooms are no joke, but I knew that going in. Some reviewers have complained about them but Davids's property description is straightforward and indicates the property is not handicap accessible so do your homework and don't underestimate it. Our stay was wonderful, and we would absolutely book here again."

"Conveniently located within walking distance of the historic city centre. Second floor apartment within a traditional narrow canal-front townhouse. It is accessed up communal steep staircase from a main front door and is annexed to the main hotel next door. The apartment overlooks a very picturesque canal, which is the best feature together with the sizeable open plan living / dining / kitchen area. It has a comfortable double bedroom and a wet room. The kitchen area could use some minor repairs...

"Me and the wife had the most amazing time over in Amsterdam. We was greeted by host paul who was amazing and showed us around our room and was very helpful. Really comfortable bed, very clean and cozy room. Apon check out we meet host Mark who let us leave our luggage for few hours and gave us a gift. Highly recommend, would definitely stay again. "ElIne, the owner was incredibly good, giving us travel guidance before we arrived and providing us with lots of local advice about the best places to visit and eat. Breakfast was at a local cafe about 150 yards away and was good, bagels with omelette or BLT with coffee and juice ticked the boxes for me or many other bagel options for those with other tastes. The location of the property was fantastic by the canals with major attractions within 20 minutes walk or 10 minutes tram ride away. The...

"Beautiful room with excellent facilities. Very handy for the centre of Amsterdam and easy to get to from the airport. Trams every 4 minutes to the centre. Gerry Petra’s husband was great and told us a lot about the area and could not have been more helpful. The house is perfect to stay in in a quiet street right next to Vondelpark. We shall definitely come back and look forward to doing so very soon. An altogether wonderful experience. "

"It was very convenient to all the major sights and attractions. It is right on the Amstel River. The hotel is quiet and clean with a number of dining options at all price points nearby; including a well stocked supermarket, Albert Heijn about 200m away out the back door, with premade breakfast, lunch and dinner to grab and go if you'd just like to save some money and eat in your room. I already recommended the hotel to two friends who are going to Amsterdam in April. "

"This hotel was a lovely place to stay and was convenient for walking to most attractions. It’s only a 20 minute walk from Amsterdam Central and 5 minutes from the nearest tram stop. From the moment we checked in, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel room was a great size for three travellers. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. When they realised it was my birthday, they went above and beyond to make it feel special. We were given complimentary breakfast, a bottle of cava and there were chocolates and balloons put in our room. These were lovely gestures. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we have another trip to Amsterdam. "
