"I have traveled around the world for more than 20 years and I have never been treated so rude by a hotel staff. When I paid Expedia it showed that the city Tax was included but the staff said "no". "The property was in a perfect location. It was a very quick walk to the Duomo and there were a lot of nearby shopping and dining options. The hotel room we chose was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The only issue we found was that cigarette smoke was present frequently throughout the hotel including the elevator and our room. The staff was great and moved us to a new room on arrival but the smoke drifted into our new room as well due to the location. We did not mention to the hotel staff...

"The hotel is set in a small village on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Como. The view is gorgeous, the restaurant was awesome and the staff are so lovely. I didn’t find the room particularly comfortable but we stayed in the least expensive room so perhaps the more expensive ones are a bit cozier. Our room was very basic and a bit run down but it’s an old building and has a lot of charm. Overall, it’s lovely but if you want luxury, I would recommend upgrading your room to a suite. "Amazing place to stay, exceeded expectations from start to finish. All the staff are super friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Thanks to Kevin for going that extra mile. The welcome bottle of Bellavista Franciacorta and Venchi chocolates was a nice touch. The continental breakfast brought to your room was delicious. Location wise, there’s no place better. If you have the budget, ask for one of the rooms with a view of the duomo. You won’t be disappointed."
