"Ski in Ski out. Room was nice with kitchenette and balcony. Hot tub and sauna were great after a day of skiing. I did think it was interesting that the drip coffee was NOT complimentary especially since when I checked in I was told me “coffee would be available at the bar in the lobby”. Just seems like a small cost to the hotel that would ultimately lead to a better experience for their guest. "

"Kathy is a gracious and communicative host whose cozy and clean studio made for a comfortable and convenient location to spend a snowy weekend in Crested Butte for a ski race. She went the extra mile allowing me to park my car in her garage so that I could get to and from the Crested Butte Nordic area for ski competitions on Saturday and Sunday mornings without worrying about cleaning the snow off my car or getting out of the driveway. I would highly recommend Kathy as a host and her studio for a single person or a couple looking to vacation in Crested Butte."

"Our family had a great time staying at the black bear hideout. The space was clean, cozy, and inviting. We had 3 teenagers and there was room for all. The hot tub, stocked kitchen, laundry, covered parking, and fireplace were lovely to have. And the proximity to the slopes was superb. A short walk up the sidewalk, around the corner and we were there. We had a great time and would stay here again."
