"We stayed at Joel and Lisa’s duplex Jan19-Feb 3 2025. The property was just as described with a well equipped kitchen and connected sleeping area. Large closet and bathroom with shower. The hosts were easy to communicate with and Joel has excellent suggestions for where to hike and eat.Definitely order takeout from Sylvie’s.Swimming/snorkelling in the ocean down a few steps and lots of quieter beaches nearby.You will need a car rental. Eat at ShelterRock, take in the view at Forti Restaurant (and dive off the cliff if you dare; we did not). Isabelle’s Off the Beach has the most amazing Expresso martini.Great spot for a couple that doesn’t want to be in the crowds! "

"Vasyl’s place is unbeatable! Close to all the best beaches on Curacao. Can snorkel and dive right from the house. The house is located on a beautiful reef. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. I come to Curacao every year with a group and we are definitely getting this house again."

"Absolutely loved our stay here. The location of our unit overlooking Playa Lagun was absolutely perfect. We loved the sunbeds and chairs overlooking the ocean and the stairs going into the water was perfect for snorkeling. We were also happy that barbecues were available for our use. We had a great stay and I would love to come back here one day."

"Close to the beach and 2 places to eat. Peter was super fast at dealing with things and answering questions. Our AC unit stopped working and he had a new one installed in 2 days! Now that is customer service. Pool and grounds were very clean and safe. I would return."

"We had a very good stay. Thank you Joel and Lisa! We rented both sides of the duplex. They are almost the same, but the left/southern appears to be the "main" unit. The location is some of the best on the island. We did grocery shopping mainly in Wilmestad, at Centrum supermarket which is about 30 min drive. You can also buy fresh fish from the fishermen at Playa Paskado/Grandi which is 5 min drive north from Lagun. come there between 10AM -12 noon. The units have one staircase leading to the water. The last part is a ladder. We swam, snorkeled and Scuba dove directly from the villas. For diving, we would drop inflated BCDs tied to long ropes so they do not drift too far, ascend, and then put on BCDs in the water. A dive shop in Lagun is Bahia Divers. They charge 9 per tank. The sunsets were stunning! We would sit at the staircase landing, directly over water and watch the show every night."

"We have traveled and stayed at many places and this home was our absolute favorite. Close to many great snorkeling places and not too far from the airport and great restaurants. Special kudos to Thalia who made checking in and out. We loved it!"

"We stayed at My Dream Apartments for a full week on a family trip that included my wife and I along with our two boys (15 and 12). The apartment had everything we needed, and was a great base for all of our activities. We had an upstairs apartment facing the ocean - the balconies are very large, with a covered part and an open part. The AC in the bedroom made it cool and comfortable at night, there's a fan for the living area, and the wifi worked great when we needed it. The location was great, with a 10-15 minute walk to the Playa Lagun area with the public beach and two restaurants (we loved Discover Lagun and went there almost every day) and also a 15 minute walk the other way to Playa Jeremi (one of our favorites). We had a car and explored more of the island, but even if you didn't you could still spend your time between these two great beaches. Lagun and the Westpunt area were laid back and beautiful, and much more our style than the more resorty areas on the other side of Willemstad. The airport and the city are only a 30-minute drive, and all our outings were within a 20-30 minute drive. Shadforth was a great host, very welcoming, communicative, and helpful - he even invited our family and the other guests to their family New Year's Day celebration with firecrackers, snacks, and drinks. We loved our time here, and if we're able to return to Curacao we will definitely stay again."
