"We stayed at Joel and Lisa’s duplex Jan19-Feb 3 2025. The property was just as described with a well equipped kitchen and connected sleeping area. Large closet and bathroom with shower. The hosts were easy to communicate with and Joel has excellent suggestions for where to hike and eat.Definitely order takeout from Sylvie’s.Swimming/snorkelling in the ocean down a few steps and lots of quieter beaches nearby.You will need a car rental. Eat at ShelterRock, take in the view at Forti Restaurant (and dive off the cliff if you dare; we did not). Isabelle’s Off the Beach has the most amazing Expresso martini.Great spot for a couple that doesn’t want to be in the crowds! "

"Vasyl’s place is unbeatable! Close to all the best beaches on Curacao. Can snorkel and dive right from the house. The house is located on a beautiful reef. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. I come to Curacao every year with a group and we are definitely getting this house again."

"Overall, we had a wonderful time! The view and private pool were fabulous. We used the pool daily as the yard is in direct sun all afternoon and can get very hot. Direct ocean access and snorkeling!! located at the quieter end of the island which we preferred. Close to a number of beautiful beaches and a few restaurants (1-10min driving) but further from a decent grocery store, which we knew ahead of time and took turns making trips. The place slept 10 people comfortably with plenty of bathrooms. Very clean! Quiet neighborhood. Some necessities we felt were missing:Hand towels for the bathrooms, wash cloths, and kitchen towels. We had one shower and one beach towel each that were used daily and couldn’t be spared for kitchen use. Definitely not enough toilet paper for 9 people (and we are not over users).The master suite was amazing but did not have a fitted sheet. Instead, a regular flat sheet covered the mattress and often needed adjusting or the mattress would become exposed. We would have loved balcony furniture to enjoy the balcony. extra info:Although they were respectful and appeared to try and make themselves scarce, there were some people doing construction next door. Not the end of the world but it did take away from the relaxing atmosphere a little. It also left debris on our chairs, in the pool and around the patio that were a little sharp if stepped on. Not a deal breaker to us, but may have been to others. "

"Absolutely loved our stay here. The location of our unit overlooking Playa Lagun was absolutely perfect. We loved the sunbeds and chairs overlooking the ocean and the stairs going into the water was perfect for snorkeling. We were also happy that barbecues were available for our use. We had a great stay and I would love to come back here one day."

"Close to the beach and 2 places to eat. Peter was super fast at dealing with things and answering questions. Our AC unit stopped working and he had a new one installed in 2 days! Now that is customer service. Pool and grounds were very clean and safe. I would return."

"We had a very good stay. Thank you Joel and Lisa! We rented both sides of the duplex. They are almost the same, but the left/southern appears to be the "main" unit. The location is some of the best on the island. We did grocery shopping mainly in Wilmestad, at Centrum supermarket which is about 30 min drive. You can also buy fresh fish from the fishermen at Playa Paskado/Grandi which is 5 min drive north from Lagun. come there between 10AM -12 noon. The units have one staircase leading to the water. The last part is a ladder. We swam, snorkeled and Scuba dove directly from the villas. For diving, we would drop inflated BCDs tied to long ropes so they do not drift too far, ascend, and then put on BCDs in the water. A dive shop in Lagun is Bahia Divers. They charge 9 per tank. The sunsets were stunning! We would sit at the staircase landing, directly over water and watch the show every night."

"We have traveled and stayed at many places and this home was our absolute favorite. Close to many great snorkeling places and not too far from the airport and great restaurants. Special kudos to Thalia who made checking in and out. We loved it!"
