Glenorchy Lake House

4.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (15)
"I could put up photos of the amazing view of Glenorchy and the surrounds but chances are that you've already seen them and are now looking for a place to stay. The Lake House is comfortable and situated very close to the lake. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it's close to walk and get a better view down the lake or up towards the mountains where sections of LoTR was filmed. Anglers paradise and great family holiday place

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (50)
"We loved this location, a few minutes' walk to the wonderful Makarora river braidplain. The house is unique: rustic and a little run down. Comfortable enough if you aren't expecting luxury. Some things could use a little updating (i.e. floors and bath fittings) but all this is secondary to the stunning landscape. We enjoyed our 10 days exploring the area--be sure to check out The Craypot fish and chippie at the end of the road over Haast Pass and the Wilkin Jet Boat tours."

Toddy’s Batch

9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (10)
"Location of accommodation was unmarked and it was with doubt that we entered the address. However after calling out to anyone on the property, we were met and shown the accommodation. It was comfortable but only stayed the one night there, in close proximity to Queenstown. There should be a sign on the road to indicate the accommodation, perhaps? Thank you for the accommodation."

Birdsong Cottage - nestled up against Mt Aspiring National Park with Spa

9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (26)
"My wife and I stayed three nights. This is perfect rustic home for a get away. The hot tub was running and we jumped straight in after a long days walking and travelling. Good internet. Great views. Kitchen has everything you need. Good weather throughout, but could just as easily stay inside on a rainy day. "
