"My wife, our two friends and I had a great time at El Portillo in Las Terrenas. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, plenty of room to hang out together and separately. The Beach Club on the property was fantastic, huge pool with excellent service and great food. We came from staying a few days at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, and the food and drink at the beach club were better than at the resort. Just steps past the beach club pool is the beach itself, which is also beautiful - a wide beach of soft sand. There were plenty of chairs available at both the beach and pool. It was never crowded, we saw a handful of people during our four nights there, and oftentimes had the pool and beach to ourselves. The residences are a short drive (less than five minutes) into Las Terrenas itself, where there are super markets, bakeries, cafes, bars, restaurants, and night life, as well as plenty of beach. We popped into town for dinner/drinks a couple nights, but also picked up groceries and cooked in the apartment. It's an ideal location for a vacation - easy access to the bustling town, but surrounded by tranquility.Manuel the host was very responsive and easy to get in touch with. He responded to my messages very quickly and was extremely helpful. The apartment has beach chairs (we never needed to use them) and beach towels, which came in handy, and a washer and dryer in the apartment, which was helpful. There is a Clay tennis court on site, too.I highly recommend!"

"Absolutely happy with my choice to stay here. Gated community with 24hr security, private beach just a short walk away, and the hotel restaurant serves delicious food and great drinks. You literally don't have to leave anywhere (except for food when restaurant is closed or snacks). Rooms were clean and new. Only thing, the shower had a really slow drain (even after service with plunger). Very close to Salto Limon and Las Terrenas restaurants. Great staff and always with a smile, especially Ashley and Ismael. I will be returning again. Side note, pay attention to entrance signs. Easy to miss entrance."

"The Villa Cocoloba was amazing. The accommodations were perfect and the Host was top notch. Nice warm water, clean pool and modern home furnishings made the stay 100% worth it even when we did not step outside of the home."

"This ecolodge literally puts you in the center of nature in the rainforest. Plus, the staff is super friendly and knowledgable. The owners are two of the nicest people that you will ever meet. The onsite restaurant is a plus! If you want to eat like the locals, this is your place. This is not your usual hotel. It's located in the hills and it has a rugged charm. Nevertheless, we fully enjoyed the experience and recommend this ecolodge!"

"La,propiedad está muy bien cuidada , pero si no eres propietario estan todo el mundo incluyendo los seguiridad todo el tiempo arriba de ti mirandote , y eso te hace sentir mal , y la personas estan pagado su dinero por el tiempo que va a estar ahi , es decir que no debe uno sentirse asi , y mucho Dinero por estadia pagando , si los demas propietarios no quieren ver otras personas deben de ponerse de acuerdo y no rentar ."

"From start to finish, just an amazing vacation. Fabulous staff with excellent service from top to bottom. The staff cooked amazing meals for us daily. We did not have to leave the property for groceries, Juan took care of everything. Very responsible, courteous, and respectful staff. Out family loved our stay in will definitely be back again!"

"The apartment itself was wonderful. The host Alejandra was AMAZING. She was very nice and helpful. The property where the apartment is located was also beautiful. My only negative feedback would be the staff that works at the property. They were extremely rude and treated us very poorly. The waiter during dinner forgot pretty much everything we ordered and he stated that “he forgot” and that he didn’t want to bring me the condiments I asked for until the drinks were ready because “he didn’t want to make double the trip” like REALLY!? By the time he came with the condiments (20 mins later) I was already done with my meal. And to top it off- after dinner we paid the new waitress and she takes the money and comes to us 10 minutes later that money was missing. How do you walk away without counting the money then come 10 MINS later stating that.!? They insulted and yelled at us in front of everyone there. We were extremely embarrassed. The only reason we didn’t check out right there and then was because it was 10 pm and we were far from home. We woke up and checked out at 8 am. The staff there needs some serious customer service training ASAP! Oh also you can’t wear any “ revealing bikini”- which I was unaware of. I will not be returning there. "
