"The house on the lake was the perfect place for four friends to spend a weekend getaway. Everything was easy- location, getting to, and checking in and out. The Hansons are great hosts and were easy to message with and answered any questions we had about our stay. While the weather did not cooperate we still had a wonderful time hiking and photographing nature at the nearby Wing Haven Preserve and dining out in Angola. Everything was clean and perfect, lots of great space, and being dog-friendly...

While it was just the two of us, there was bedding upstairs for an additional 4 people. The electric fire insert was nice and warm. Puzzles and two tables to work on them. "This was a comfortable and spacious room in downtown Hillsdale. Easy walking distance to restaurants and a somewhat longer walk to Hillsdale College. Downsides: very soft mattress and the location of the toilet in the bathroom is awkward for larger people. Since we were petite it was fine. When we had an issue with the lock it was promptly rand easily resolved. Overall a comfortable experience."

"We were here for a funeral of a family member who passed too soon and we are all heartbroken and evn though we used none of the amenities (nice kitchen to cook food) evwryrhing was very nice and so muc better than staying in a hotel. We live in Illinois so had people coming and going at different times due to work/life schedules and this worked out perfectly for us. "

"Had a wonderful stay at this home in downtown Hillsdale. Home is well appointed, with everything we needed. A thoughtful welcome basket and provisions, coupled with a personal walk through with the owner made for an easy arrival. Beds were comfy, water pressure good, temperature controls accurate, clean and very cheerful decor. Highly recommend!"

"Our mother rented the house for her three sons and their wives who were from Ft. Wayne, Texas and Seattle. The home was very clean with comfortable beds and Mom loved sitting at the table and looking out at the lake since she wasn’t able to climb all of the steps down to the water. The only thing wrong was the front steps and stairs inside the house up to the great room were difficult for one of the wives getting ready for knee surgery soon and for our elderly mom.
