"Gilles was an excellent host, and the house and yard are fantastic. We really enjoyed Rustrel and the surrounding area. In addition to the great bakery in town, we liked Au Pierrot Blanc in Apt (lavender ice cream) and horseback riding at the Horse Farm De Joucas (beautiful trail rides through vineyards, lavender fields). There are so many great things to do nearby that it's hard to choose, though! We enjoyed all of the helpful recommendations from Gilles."

The hosts were very responsive over email and Juliette, the property manager, was very helpful getting us checked in and explaining everything about the villa. "What a wonderful stay. We had the best week and so sad to have to leave. Lots to see near by, and a beautiful home to come back to. The pool was fabulous and we lived in it every afternoon! "We arrived at the location and found it in good condition with friendly hosts who were helpful and generous with there time as well allowing us to enjoy are holiday. The pool was fantastic and private and the placement of the property gives you fantastic access to the towns of Apt, Lourmarin and Bonnieux. We enjoyed some great food in the restaurants in all of these as well as travellling to Aix Provence for a little shopping. The facilities on site allowed us to have BBQs and cooking dinners...

"This was an amazing holiday, it was a mixed bunch of ages but we all kept ourselves doing what we wanted. The house is amazing and modern but with the old rustic charm still within the old house. The swimming pool was the main attraction for the youngsters. It was big enough for all our party, and when the temperature dropped Jean soon put this right. Lacoste is an amazing place to visit, but all the surrounding area was beautiful. Great holiday xx"

"This house was perfect for friends to spend a weekend in the countryside, and the owner and Aunt that lives next door were so helpful and responsive. The pool was beautiful and home was clean, lots of dishes and cooking materials for hosting. It was difficult to find the home, so better directions would be appreciated for other guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to come back some day. Thank you JB for your hospitality!"

"We were 8 adult family members and a small child, and to a person we absolutely loved our 14 nights in June stay in this home. The house and property were outstanding - beyond our expectations - and all of the people with whom we dealt, being our hosts, Michele and Olivier (who we did not meet in person), the housekeeper Farida, and the property maintainer, Olivier, were lovely. We very much hope to stay here again. The village of Lourmarin, less than1k away, is gorgeous - maybe the nicest...

Only one room, a bedroom, has air conditioning and the lower bedrooms can become very stuffy in the heat. The garden is full of odd damaged items which can’t be used. It could do with sorting out."

"This is a glorious, quiet and serene property within 5 minutes walk uphill into the village. So calming and beautiful and several room options, although all upstairs. Great, large clean (unfenced) pool - so hypervigilance needed with small children. It was mid-summer hot and we think some room fans would be helpful as the automatic airconditioning was not quite adequate in the bedrooms. These are small criticisms of what is a magnificent holiday rental for a large group."

Nature is very much on the doorstep - animals, birds, insects and flowers, surrounded by lovely countryside, which was easy to explore from the house. Great views from the swimming pool. "If you are looking for a get-away from it all, Meir’s beautiful home on Montjustin is your place! The town is tiny - just a few residents - and you need to drive to nearby Cereste or Reillane (or longer drive to Manosque) for supplies, but once you’re stocked up, this very French and roomy home with a pool, petanque, yard, and more is the perfect spot. We loved making it our home for a week and hope to come again. One word of caution: lots of steps and hard surfaces - fine for us but wondered...
