Don Boutique Hotel Montevideo

4.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (479)
"Location convenient but late night concert outdoors across the street til 1:30 am made sleep impossible. Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. But property needs maintenance. TV in room did not work, one bedside lamp did not work, AC not effective. Pool deck had broken boards."

Plaza Fuerte Hotel

3.5 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (114)
"This is a beautiful hotel in a great location in the old part of the city. It is very safe and nice and quiet (except one night a very loud service truck was making lots of noise at 4 am)."

Alma Histórica Boutique Hotel

4.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (224)
"Alma Histórica is a wonderful little hotel in a quiet neighborhood in the old city. Each room is themed and unique. There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance, and there is limited parking on the street. The staff are wonderful and super helpful, and I can’t say enough about them. It’s near the port and the Museo del Carnaval, so if you are there during Carnaval season, you can walk to see the tablados. "

Smart Hotel Montevideo

3.5 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (784)
"Smart Hotel offers some of the best amenities and services that I have experienced in my travels. The king-sized bed was quite comfortable. Rooms have a small refrigerator and sink, and there is plenty of closet space (plus a strong box so you can lock up your passport, laptop, etc.) The hotel is centrally located in Montevideo’s historical downtown, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance to enjoy). Most importantly, Smart Hotel has a very professional and efficient...

Puerto Mercado Hotel

3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (682)
"Well located in the old town. Although an old building, it is suitably upgraded within. Friendly staff. A little difficult to navigate to it's off-site parking site (use your Google Maps). The breakfast is very light, but there are great restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance. "

Esplendor by Wyndham Montevideo Cervantes

4.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (789)
"The hotel was good and the breakfasts were excellent. The staff was very helpful, kind, and overall, amazing as they went out of their way to help us see and do the things we wanted to do. The only problems with the property were that the building is old and the bathroom smelled like sewage and our room was near the stairwell and we would hear everyone going up to breakfast just before 7:00 am."

Axsur Design Hotel

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (549)
"The hotel listed having a kitchen and bar. The kitchen was limited to offering a mediocre breakfast. The bar was limited to selling one type of beer, no wine nor cocktails. The amenities included a gym. A small, dark room with three aerobic devices does not count as a gym. The staff were helpful and nice. "

My Suites Boutique Hotel & Apartments

4.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (413)
"Spent three nights. Nice modern hotel. Large room with 2 double beds, large bathroom, kitchen area. Exercise room, tiny pool (2 ft depth), & sauna on top floor. Standard SA breakfast. Wine tasting every evening. Staff was generally okay. Be warned, there are a lot of fees on top of the room cost. Of course, breakfast & wine tasting. But also change of towels & change of linens that were not explained up front. It adds up."
