"Nice hotel just off the main avenue, but in a bit of a off the beaten path. There are a few sketchy people around but it's very convenient to independence square, Palacio Salvo and old Montevideo. The restaurant recommendations made by the hotel were excellent. I've stayed here before and one thing worth mentioning is the wide swing in pricing, as cheap as $60 per night and sometimes over $100..."

"Beautiful property! They offer a lovely tea buffet. A little pricey but I really enjoyed it. Located right on the rambla overlooking the ocean (River) with easy walking or biking. Shopping mall within 5 minutes walk. The only downer for me was the traffic noise during the night and my room being located next to cleaning staff room. Overall, a great experience."

"Spent three nights. Nice modern hotel. Large room with 2 double beds, large bathroom, kitchen area. Exercise room, tiny pool (2 ft depth), & sauna on top floor. Standard SA breakfast. Wine tasting every evening. Staff was generally okay. Be warned, there are a lot of fees on top of the room cost. Of course, breakfast & wine tasting. But also change of towels & change of linens that were not explained up front. It adds up."

"The Front Desk manager treated my wife as a prostitute daring to ask for her cell number as he was leading her upstairs to our Suite!
