"We loved everything about our 4 week stay at this beautiful home. Amazing views, and a comfortable and well thought out floor plan that would suit a group of 6 - 8. Nicely finished interior with a modern aesthetic . That being said, I’m guessing the property is 20+ years old with original finishing, appliances, dishes, bedding, air conditioners, blinds and tile work. There is water damaged walls inside and out. "The stay was good but with some remarks: - some fourniture is outdated (chairs in kitchen and sofa ouside are worn out) - very bad smell in the washing room - you need a car for visiting the city (more than 30 minutes of walk) all issues and problems were solved quickly by the support and service team - very good communication"

"This is a great place to stay. Super clean and very well-equipped. Just a short walk to the beach and there are some good restaurants nearby if you don't want to go into the old town. Also close to a large supermarket and theres a mini-market 5 mins walk away. The host is also very helpful and responsive to communications. Overall highly recommended!"

"We had a great stay at Janelo do Mar. The villa is in a great location near restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches. We had a few issues which Isabel did her best to sort out. One point I would raise is the lack of lighting by the BBQ area. We were only a family of 4 so could eat during the evening at the small table outside the villa overlooking the pool but we couldn’t see to BBQ! "A homely property in a quiet location within walking distance of some lovely coastal paths. The host was welcoming and keen to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. "

"We stayed for 19 days in March 2025. The villa is very charming-we loved the sun room and used the log burner as it was March and a bit chilly. We used the sauna and spa bathtub a lot. "Vila Balaia is an oasis of tranquility. We were 2 families that spent 6/4 nights there in March, and the experience was outstanding. Claudia was very friendly and accommodating with our early check-in, she bought us some bread, milk and oranges as a welcome gift, which was very appreciated. The beds are super comfortable, the bedrooms are quiet and dark and we all had super relaxing sleeps. There is not much to do by foot in the area, so a car is a must for day trips in the Algarve. "Such a spacious and cozy villa! We were welcomed by Carolina who already started a fire in the cool weather. We did some hiking and lots of walking, cooked a couple of meals. Such a relaxing spot, thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the howling wind and rain storm one night. Beautiful area to explore!"

"we enjoyed our stay here in the spacious property . There was good facilities and fresh towels delivered mid week. However there was a rancid sewerage smell that was vile and impacted our stay. There was also ants in the kitchen."
